SIMPLICITY

My freshman outing, this book is a reminder of the basic paradigm from which I must function.  Simplifying my life in body, soul, and spirit, I am more likely to actually reflect the goodness of the image of God somewhere along the way.  It is descriptive, and prescriptive, narrative and part self-help.   $8 plus shipping.

LIVING IN THE SACRED NOW

This is probably still my favorite thing I have written.  I see the seeds of what makes me love writing in this collection.  39 vignettes of being “between”:  between young and old, day and night, here and there, water and wine.  It is a call to inhabit the moment.   $8 plus shipping.

EVEN GOD RESTED

I am too busy.  I overcommit.  I do not do boundaries well.  So I thought I should write about how to slow down and approach life from a more sane perspective. The model of God working and doing his best for six days, and then stepping back to enjoy it and rest, ceasing from and feasting on, was the inspiration for this project.   $8 plus shipping.

FINDING YOUR WAY

THROUGH GRIEF

This is the most personal book I have written.  After contracting with my publisher to write it, we got the news that my mother was diagnosed with lung cancer.  She passed away in November, and my manuscript was due in February.  January, I began to put thoughts on the page, and I hope that somewhere in my own grief recollection, I have given threads of comfort for other grievers.   $8 plus shipping.

POTLUCK

A collection of narrative homilies about

belonging, about connecting over

shared meals, about cooking with

beautiful ingredients, about

memories of a warm tradition and

a new interpretation of it. The

stories speak of second chances,

undivided plates, messes, and

giving. It is about finding, trying,

sampling, serving up a plate. And

it is about making a place for

everyone at the table.  $8 plus shipping.
